The Financial Analyst coordinates aspects of Co West Transportation, LLC’s accounting/financial activities.

Hiring Location: Montrose, CO

SUMMARY
This position coordinates aspects of Co West Transportation, LLC’s accounting/financial activities.
Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations,
assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits and maintaining accounts payable
documentation.
These duties require considerable confidentiality, acute attention to detail, initiative, tact, and strong
interpersonal and organizational skills. Provide a high level of customer service while exercising
discretion and good judgment for what is appropriate behavior in a professional office.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The Financial Analyst works directly under the supervision of the C.O.O., to ensure that financing
operations run smoothly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes financial data.
2. Research macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions.
3. Prepares accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis
performed.
4. Evaluates capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
5. Establishes and evaluates records, statements, and profit plans.
6. Identifies financial performance trends and financial risk, and makes recommendations.
7. Provides recommendations for improvement based on trends.
8. Coordinates with other members of the finance team, such as the Controller, when required to
review financial information and forecasts.
9. Analyzes inventory.
10. Forecasts models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases.
11. Performs/provides financial models, forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
12. Analyzes financial data and creates financial models for decision support.
13. Bank reconciliations where needed.
14. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field.
2. Proven experience in the financial industry with financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate
finance and information analysis.
3. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
4. Ability to understand file relationships and database systems. Work requires intermediate to
advanced skills in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel which is required to
manage and manipulate spreadsheets.
5. Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
6. Proven leadership abilities.
7. Deep understanding of the financial system and institutions.
8. Highly self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Work is performed in an office environment
2. Sitting (working at a desk), using a computer – up to 80%
3. Standing – up to 20%
4. Walking – up to 20%
5. Occasional overnight travel
