The Bus/Van Detailer Supervisor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of the bus and van fleet.
SUMMARY:
The Bus/Van Detailer Supervisor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of the bus and van fleet. This position requires the ability to supervise a team, perform duties in a timely and accurate manner, and ensure that the vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
Wage: $18+ DOE
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Receives general supervision from the Montrose Lead Mechanic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and train a team of bus/van detailers.
- Ensure the exterior and interior cleaning of vehicles is performed to company standards.
- Oversee the cleaning of windows, and dashboards, vacuuming of carpets and seats, and maintaining seat belt order for a professional appearance.
- Coordinate fueling of vehicles before washing, and complete daily checklists (applicable by location).
- Manage the movement of vehicles around the lot and ensure maintenance of fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Notify management of any vehicles missing safety equipment or with operational issues.
- Maintain inventory of detailing supplies.
- Supervise property, building, and workspace upkeep, including vacuuming and mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and refilling paper products in restrooms.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Work with and assist co-workers in the performance of their duties.
- Look for ways to serve the customer and the company better.
- Serve as a public representative of the company both on and off the job.
- Schedule and manage team shifts, which may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have strong leadership and communication skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior supervisory experience in a related field is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and highly self-motivated.
- Ability to learn computer and telephone skills techniques.
- Must be able to work long hours during peak periods.
- Knowledge of Destination System’s procedures to provide excellent customer service.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing through the FTA pool if performing a safety-sensitive function.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull 10 pounds, and occasionally lift, push, and pull 10-50 pounds.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (eye protection, gloves).
- Must provide a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record.
- Pre-employment drug testing is required.

UNDERSTANDING
This is a non-exempt hourly position that is eligible for time and one-half of the regular rate of
pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
