SUMMARY
Works directly under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Dispatch. Concierge is in first position to welcome and assist customers in a polite and professional manner. This is a role that focuses on ensuring professional, superior, friendly and efficient customer service.
Pay from: $16-$22 DOE
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision from the Director of Operations and Dispatch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for meeting inbound passengers.
- Responsible for assisting outbound passengers in the event they have additional needs upon arrival to the airport.
- Acts as an overall customer service agent for all passengers.
- Responsible for directing the drivers to parking space.
- Distributes paperwork to drivers.
- Communicates with dispatch to assist passengers if needed.
- Relays all dispatch information to drivers (walkups, no-shows, delayed luggage and changes).
- Responsible for all communication and problems in the parking lot (work with manager and dispatcher).
- Assists passengers in vehicles safely when necessary.
- Personable, professional, and customer service oriented.
- Ability to multitask.
- Makes a sincere effort to become familiar with the area and the city, enabling you to know approximate distances between locations to answer customer’s questions about activities and the area in general.
- Handles any complaints in an expeditious, courteous and professional manner either by handling the situation if appropriate, writing a notable event, or by informing management immediately.
- Listens to customer needs and concerns in order to better serve the customer.
- Wear appropriate uniforms.
- Works with and assists co-workers in the performance of their duties.
- Performs all responsibilities assigned, including tasks assigned to specific shifts.
- Hours include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to learn computer-based reservation dispatch programs, and telephone skills techniques. Demonstrate good communication and people skills, and be able to manage stress during rush periods. Must be able to work long hours during the rush periods. Must be a team player and have a willingness to provide excellent customer service to our passengers.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent. Preferred at least one year of related work experience.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management and outside agencies.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Dresses appropriately for weather conditions
- Work is performed in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
